. . . But not in my Backyard
Wednesday,
28 July 2004 - Workers were driving
their shovels and dump trucks behind our property
before 6:50a this morning and setting up to begin
digging out the "pond" that filled
up with water two days ago. The mayor earlier
asked Drinkard Development representative Ralph
Marcum to not begin any work activity before
7:00a.
|
Work began early this morning - 6:49a. This
photo was taken shortly after.
Take a look
at the shadows falling just short of the
Wal-Mart fence. This
is in complete disregard
of
Mayor Green's
request and irrespective of the neighbors'
privacy under the city ordinance.
|
Vehicles
were in full swing today at 6:49a despite the
mayor's request they not begin before 7:00a.
It's only a few minutes but a few minutes today,
a few more tomorrow and a just a few more the
day after that and we're back to where we were.

New
game . . . how close can you get to the fence
without tearing it down with heavy equipment? -

What if this was your children's backyard?
They've been told not to park right up
behind our fence (per Rick Fulmer). - 12:24p

The mayor said today , "I
doubt you will sell your home while this is going
on. The realestate will more than increase when
this project is done".
|
Not too smart working around heavy equipment swinging a bucket around
your head without a hard hat.
